Stay Out Of Recreation Bay

Due to an accident during excavation work near the Lifting Station located in the area near the Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre, power to the Lifting Station has been cut. Repairs will take place first thing Wednesday morning.
As a result of the accident, raw sewage will have to be flushed into the bay area near the Onake Paddling Club until the power is restored.
Community members are asked to avoid using the area for recreational purposes until the Community Health Representatives clear the area for use once the repairs are made.
