The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has granted a 3-year provisional recognition to the Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL), moving the sport one step closer to being included in the  Olympic games. The FIL will now be able to receive funding from the IOC and can apply for development programs, while full recognition still has to be granted by the IOC Session. K1037 Sports spoke with Jason Pragle, the Vice President of the First Nations Lacrosse Association said: “This sounds like a move in the right direction to help lacrosse regain reinstatement to the Olympics, with hopes that both field and box lacrosse will be considered. Many thanks to the FIL and all others that are working diligently towards these goals.”
