Haunted Woods and Parade Fall Victim to Red Alert

The popular Haunted Highway parade and the Haunted Woods in Kahnawake have been cancelled by the Task-Force. It is due to new measures put in place as a result of the Red Alert enacted by the Task Force and limits on gatherings. James Day operates both events: “I presented a plan to them to carry on with the haunted parade. Everything was a go, with social distancing. Everybody had to fill out a form to state that you were not sick. They would be restricted to the floats. We know that the parties are well away from each other. They emailed me this morning stating that they had to shut me down because of the rise in cases, which I understand. I don’t want to put anybody at risk either. It was very tough. A Tough decision. But I understand the Task Force has to make,” Day said.
With the recent changes to gathering restrictions; the potential amount of participants expected at the events pose a high risk.
