Fraudulent calls from Revenue Canada threaten arrest

Written by on October 18, 2018

K1037 News Director Paul Graif has received three potentially fraudulent phone calls on his personal cell phone in the last 24 hours. A recording threatened him with a lawsuit. The computer recording went on to say: “There is an arrest warrant under your name and we will get you arrested. So call us back.”

The numbers appeared as fraudulent on his cell phone screen. When he called back both numbers from the K1037 phone, the person on the other end immediately ended the calls. Revenue Canada and Revenue Quebec have both stated that they would not call you and ask you for personal information. It is best to look them up from your records and call them if you have any concerns or questions.

If you receive calls from those numbers, do not respond.
