Elders Lodge Resident Tests Positive for COVID-19

A resident at the Turtle Bay Elders Lodge has tested positive for COVID-19 according to a release Wednesday night from the Kahnawake COVID-19 Task Force. The resident is the first in any of the facilities in Kahnawake to come down with the virus. According to the release they are in good health. All residents have been in self-isolation since the outbreak on December 31^st.  They will remain in isolation until further notice.

Meanwhile an asymptomatic person tested positive on Wednesday. They informed public health that they were at the town rink with several community members on Sunday, January 10^th from 4:30pm to 9pm.  

The Local Public Health Team is unable to identify all potential contacts and therefore is asking any person who was at the town rink during those times to self-isolate until the end of the day on Sunday, January 24^th.
