A light-brown dog that bit a daycare worker was seized late Wednesday afternoon by Kahnawake’s Animal Protection unit. The dog was loose when it bit a woman from the 7 Generations daycare while she was out walking the kids.

The incident happened on the Old Malone Highway near the funeral home at around 10 a.m. on Wednesday. The young woman’s skin was not broken by the bite.

Because of privacy issues a worker at Animal Protection said that they are not at liberty to discuss the fate of the animal or who the dog belongs to. Although, according to the Peacekeepers, this dog has never bitten anyone else in the past.
