Back To A Yellow Alert Level

There has been a decrease in active cases of COVID-19 in Kahnawà:ke leading The Public Safety Commission and The Kateri Memorial Hospital Centre’s Public Health to lower the community’s Alert Level from Red to Yellow. With a decrease in contacts in isolation, the stability of cases in the regions surrounding Kahnawake and the ability for Local Public Health to contact trace within 24 hours, the decision was made to reach the yellow level, with 6 active COVID-19 cases on territory at the present time. The Yellow Alert Level is defined as 6-20 active cases, with 15-45 contacts in isolation.
